east, the plane crashed 2,7 kilometers east of Setså in Saltdal.
The pilot, Lt Trond Sæthrum managed to eject, but he was still in
the seat when it hit the ground, and he was killed.

on 18-Dec-1980. During a ground controlled approach to Bodø Airbase,
the plane suffered a substantial loss of engine power. The pilot, Roar
Strand, realised he would not reach the runway and decided to eject. He
landed with minor injuries in Valnesfjorden. The plane came down in deep
water at Skjerstadfjorden, aprox. 24 km east of Bodø Airbase.

10-sep-1980 in the sea near Helligvær, aprox. 17 nautical miles
northeast of Bodø Airbase. Two fighters had been on a mission to
identify and photograph unidentified planes west of Lofoten. On approach
to Bodø one of the fighters crashed in the sea after a series of
abnormal movements. The pilot, Lt. Kåre Haugvaldstad managed to
eject, but was too low for the shute to open. He was killed on the spot.

in 17-jan-1978 at ramstein Airbase, Germany. The plane landed hard with
only its nosegear extended. It skidded along the length of the runway,
was caugt in the safetynet and came to a stop in a field about 30 meters
off the runway. The pilot, kpt. Sverre Hans Wilhelm Aarkvisla was unhurt.
The fighter was written off and brought to Kjevik, Norway for technical
educational use. Scrapped in1984. The cockpit-section exists today in
Bergen with a private collector.

on 4-feb-1981 near Bodø. The plane was on a routine trainingmission
and was undertaking a radar controlled landing at runway 08 in Bodø.
Suddenly the engines RPM dropped and the crew decided to eject. Lt. Per
Christian Torp (front seat) landed safely while Lt. Inge Støen
suffered minor injury. Both landed on the base area. So did the plane
which exploded on impact near shelter 16. The accident was caused by a
canopy which was released and smashed against the left side of the plane.
Pieces of plexiglas was ingested into the engine.
